Lovers of the arts will be spoilt for choice with the Golden Quadrangle that showcases the marble poetry of the Taj Mahal, the legendary palaces of Rajasthan, the Pink City of Jaipur, the imposing Red Fort at Delhi to the rhythmic steps of the graceful Kathak dancers, the musical strains of the sitar and the resonant beats of the tabla.

Day 01  |  Arrive Delhi

Today you arrive by flight to India. On arrival in Delhi you will be greeted and escorted by our company representative to your hotel.

Day 02  |  Delhi

After breakfast visit Red Fort (closed on Mondays) – the 17th century imposing fortress, the Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque), India’s largest mosque where more than 20,000 people can kneel in prayer and Raj Ghat -Mahatma Gandhi’s Memorial. In the afternoon visit New Delhi. You will drive past President’s Palace and India Gate (42m high), built to commemorate the 70,000 Indian soldiers who died in the 1st world war. Later visit Humayun’s Tomb, and the Qutub Minar, the highest sands stone minaret in the world (73 meters).

Day 03  |  Delhi – Jaipur  [260 kms /5 hrs]

After having breakfast, drive to Jaipur. Check-in at hotel on arrival. Maharaja Jai Singh II built Jaipur in the 18th century. It is a planned city built with ancient Hindu rules as the colonial capital of a richly colourful state. The whole city was painted pink to welcome the visit of Prince Albert in 1853. On arrival check in the hotel

Day 04  |  Jaipur

After breakfast proceed for a half-day excursion trip to Amber Fort, ascend the Fort on Elephant back /Jeep ride. En route, make a photo stop at the Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal). A 5 storied building with 25cm thick facade from the 18 century having 953 windows and niches so that ladies of royal family could see the procession and events in the city without being visible to the people.
In the afternoon, visit City Palace and Jantar Mantar (1728-34) by king astrologer Jai Singh II. The instruments are built of stone with marble facing on the important plains for measuring the harmony of the heavens. Each instrument serves a particular function and each gives an accurate reading.

Day 05  |  Jaipur – Agra [232 kms /5 hrs]

After breakfast drive to Agra. On the way visit Fatehpur Sikri. It is a beautiful and deserted medieval city built by Akbar the Great in the 16th century to serve as the capital of his vast empire. The Mughals later abandoned this city for lack of water. After the sightseeing, continue your drive to Agra. On arrival check-in at hotel.

Later visit Taj Mahal (1631-1653), a poem in white marble, built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal. Also visit Agra Fort situated on the West Bank of the river Yamuna.

Day 06  |  Agra– Jhansi [Train Dep. 08:17 /Arr. 10:43] - Khajuraho [172 kms /4 hrs]

After breakfast transfer to railway station to board the Train to Jhansi. From Jhansi, drive to Khajuraho, home to the most famous erotic temples built in the 10 & 11th century by the Chandella Rulers.
On arrival in Khajuraho transfer to the hotel.

Day 07  |  Khajuraho - Varanasi [Flight]

In the morning visit Eastern Group of temples mainly dedicated to the Jain teachers - Tirthankaras - The Parsvanatha Temple, the Adinatha Temple and the Santinatha Temple. The temples are ornately carved on the outside with beautiful figures of Hindu gods, goddesses. Also visit the Western Group of temples, which consist of a group of artistic temples built in sandstone. The sculptures of Hindu deities, dancers and musicians appear to be so natural as if they would come alive any time. In the afternoon transfer to the airport to connect flight to Varanasi.

On arrival Varanasi transfer to hotel. Later, drive out for an excursion trip to Sarnath. Located 13 kms northeast of Varanasi, Sarnath is the auspicious place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon in the deer park after attaining enlightenment at Bodhgaya.

Day 08  |  Varanasi – Kathmandu [Flight]

of this ancient city. See the beauty of the rising sun on the Ganges Boat Ride. Experience the early morning rituals of the Hindus being performed on the Ghats, thousands of people taking a bath in the holy river believing they will be free from the circle of rebirth. It is interesting to see the pilgrims offering sweets, flowers and holy water to the Sun God.
Later return to hotel. After breakfast, transfer to airport to connect the flight to Kathmandu. On arrival Kathmandu, transfer to hotel.

Day 09  |  Kathmandu

After breakfast visit Kathmandu city, a city which looks like a living museum. Visit the Durbar Square, the Temple of the Living Goddess, the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Shiva-Parvati Temple, a three-story temple famous for its erotic stone carvings.  In the afternoon, visit the ancient town of Patan also known as Lalitpur (City of Beauty and Fine Art). Patan is an ancient city filled with exotic pagodas, intricate gateways, fabulous deities, and endless carvings.

Day 10  |  Kathmandu

Today we visit the second sister city of the capital, Bhadgaon (Bhaktapur), which means "the City of Devotees". Visit Durbar Square with King Palace specially its golden gate and 55-Windows-Palace (15th century), the 5- story Nyatopala-Temple, the highest and probably the finest temple in Kathmandu Valley, built by King Bhupatindra. The 2-story Bhairabnath-Temple (18th century) as well as the Dattatraya Temple dedicated to God Vishnu and the Pujahari Math with its famous Peacock Window. Afternoon is free.

Day 11  |  Depart Kathmandu

Today you will be transferred to the international airport to connect the flight for return journey back home.
